Reusing Historic Places for Community Revitalization

At the 1930s Group, we believe that older and historic places have the innate ability to transform our communities while also creating meaningful experiences. 

Our goal is to work in close collaboration with local community partners, the City of Bedford, and Indiana Landmarks to pursue a

community-based endeavor that results in the preservation and reuse of the historic 1898 Krenke-Goff Building and the 1917 Elks Lodge Building in Downtown Bedford.

Adaptive reuse repurposes existing historic buildings for new uses, retaining the essential character defining features while transforming for new, productive uses.
